Paper • A Technical Paper usually has seven majorsections:
Title
Author’s name(s) and affiliations)
Abstract
• Write an abstract of about 350 words to summarize the paper, stating
significant new information and conclusions
Introduction
• Outline the problem and briefly explain the solution
• Goal
• Motivation
• Describe what is inside the existing papers (outline)
• Give your personal point of view for a review paper
• A “plus” for a review paper • Give the hypotheses

• Explain theory, define terms, describe test procedures used,
and outline and problems peculiar to the subject Methodology or Method
• experimental, numerical, field study, mix of these
Description and Application of Equipment and Processes
• Tell how the equipment was used and how tests were
conducted. Describe any unusual test procedure(s) and
discuss the development of experimental equipment, with
illustrations if possible. Evaluate the equipment and its
applications
