Discussion Post/ Assignments:

Discussion Forum: is where your participation will be assessed as if you were in a regular in-person
class. You are expected to be an active and engaged member of the class throughout the semester. The
discussion board is the way to exchange ideas and learn from your classmates. Each student is expected
to fully participate in the discussion boards.
Discussion posts and assignments could involve summarizing articles, responding to questions from
your text, viewing and commenting on streaming videos about a particular subject matter or responding to
cases. After stating your idea(s) you are expected to respond to classmates ideas.
Discussion posts and assignments will be posted and students will be required to respond with logically
documented responses. Your responses will be evaluated on both quantity and quality. This requires you
to:
1) submit an initial post of your opinion by Wednesday, no later than 11:55 pm (if required)
2) read other students’ responses
3) respond to their comments no later than Sunday, no later than 11:55 am (if required)
Your grade on your discussions and assignments are based on participation. Each discussion question is
worth 15 points and your assignments are worth 25 points. However, in order to receive full credit for
these posts, you must fulfill some basic requirements:
