For my presentation, I will use the following:
Global issue: Totalitarianism
Literary text: 1984 by George Orwell (choose an extract from the book, it should be 40 consecutive lines that relate to the global issue of totalitarianism)
Non literary text: Choose 2 political cartoons from the same artist (must be a known/famous artist) that relates to the global issue of totalitarianism. If you cannot find political cartoons that relate to totalitarianism, then you may choose 1 advertisement, magazine article, or radio broadcast that relate to totalitarianism. However, I would prefer political cartoons.
After everything has been chosen, write 10 points for the presentation (refer to the samples in the link I provided above to see how it should be done)
These points must include an introduction (introduce/define the texts and authors of each one), an analysis of the extract chosen from 1984 in terms of totalitarianism, an analysis of the non literary texts in terms of totalitarianism, compare and contrast both texts when it comes to the global issue, and a conclusion.
