Instructions
Two role-plays will be conducted. By virtue of a point scheme assigned to particular settlement variations, negotiators will be evaluated on the settlements they achieve. The procedure will operate as follows:
The instructor will assign roles and will explain the negotiation process at the end of a particular class period. Students will be assigned to two-person groups and opponents specified.
Students will have an entire week to arrange a negotiation with their opponent and arrive at a settlement.
Results of the negotiation are due in writing to the instructor by a specified deadline. Failure to meet the deadline will result in a penalty.
All group members will be assigned the same grade points for the exercise unless appealed to the instructor. Appeals must be specified in writing no later than 24 hours after the negotiation results are submitted.
Follow these steps:
Group membership will be shared in class and can be found under the Collaboration tab by choosing Groups and then selecting Negotiation 1 Group.
Arrange to communicate with your group member on your own time.
Create a Negotiation Results document from your group that addresses the following:
Price
Service Level
Payment Schedule
Delivery
Use MS Word formatted according to APA guidelines to create your document.
